Freedom and mindfulness

A new family, a new life, a new hope. New emotions, new feelings, new questions. Questions about past, present and future; thoughts about roots, abandonment, commitment, homecoming. Identity, balance, love.

Adoption brings a lot and sometimes takes a lot, too. Relationships in this context carry all the colors from the range of shades. Feelings alter and the journey to a fulfilled life seems long sometimes.

Our voluntary organization Éducation Sensible et Conscience Parentale ESCPA focuses on the complex relationships between adoptive parents and adopted children, provides information on managing emotions and awareness in the search for identity, listens expectant mothers who plan to give their children for adoption and is aiming to decrease orphan-born children number.

The strength of our social bonds we create depends on our experiences and feelings.

One of the most difficult tasks for us is to understand and accept that our children, biological or adopted, do not belong to us and it is our duty not to seek to control their actual and future lives, but instead prepare them for their future, so they can grow and develop themselves as a free, confident, autonomous and determined to learn human beings.

It is important building ties founded on kindness, trust and love that will lead us to build a better society.
